SEN Teacher - Primary School
Location: Croydon, South London Contract: Full-time & Long Term Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Our client, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon, is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
The Role:
As the SEN Teacher, you will work closely with pupils across the primary age range, supporting children with EHCPs, ASD, ADHD, and a range of complex learning needs. You will play a key role in delivering tailored learning programmes and promoting positive outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Contribute to the development and review of EHCPs
Work collaboratively with the SENCO, class teachers, support staff, and external professionals
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of pupil development
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Proven experience working with children with SEN in a primary setting
Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive practice
Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to teaching
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
