Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Gloucester Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire Role: SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Setting: Specialist SEN Unit within a Primary School Start Date: September 2025
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Class People is working in partnership with a supportive SEN unit in Gloucester looking to appoint a dedicated and resilient SEN TA for a full-time role starting this September.
What the role involves:
Supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs (including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and speech & language difficulties)
Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored interventions
Supporting class teachers with behaviour management and daily routines
Helping pupils develop their social, emotional, and communication skills in a nurturing environment
✅ We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in SEN settings, particularly with complex or behavioural needs
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience
Is confident using a variety of communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton, visual timetables)
Can work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Holds a relevant Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)
