About the Role Education Network are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming school in Gateshead. The role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, and social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, helping pupils to access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including ASD and Down Syndrome. Support with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to ensure consistent support.
