About the Role Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and resilient Maths and English Teachers to join a specialist SEN/SEMH secondary school in the Totton area. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support.
About the School The school supports secondary-aged students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It provides a structured, supportive, and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Maths or English lessons tailored to individual student needs Adapt teaching strategies to support students with SEN/SEMH Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies Track and assess student progress, providing clear feedback Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (essential) Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students (desirable) Strong classroom and behaviour management skills A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach What Teaching Personnel Offers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
