SEN Learning Support Assistant

Humly is recruiting caring, resilient and committed SEN Learning Support Assistants to work across Primary and Secondary school settings, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). These roles are available on an ad-hoc, short-term and long-term basis throughout the academic year.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children with additional needs who are passionate about inclusion and helping pupils reach their full potential.
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Providing 1:1 or small-group SEN support for pupils with additional needs
*
Supporting pupils with learning, communication, emotional regulation and behaviour
*
Helping pupils access the curriculum in a safe and inclusive way
*
Following individual education plans, support strategies and behaviour plans
*
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
*
Supporting pupils during transitions, routines and unstructured times
*
Promoting confidence, independence and positive engagement
What You’ll Bring

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care or support setting)
*
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
*
Confidence supporting a range of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language or learning difficulties
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
A proactive, reliable and professional attitude
*
A genuine commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Relevant experience may include:
*
SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant roles
*
Specialist school or alternative provision settings
*
Residential childcare or care/support work
*
Youth work or behaviour support roles
Pay Structure
*
SEN Learning Support Assistant: from £14.85 per hour
