KS3 SEN Teacher Salary: £27,456 - £43,014 per year Contract: Full Time | Permanent | 40 hours per week Location: Burnley, Lancashire Inspire, Support & Transform - Join a Therapeutic SEN Provision in Burnley We are working with a specialist provision in Burnley who are seeking a committed and passionate KS3 SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils with complex social, emotional and mental health needs within a warm, therapeutic and highly supportive environment. The school provides personalised education for pupils aged 7-16, many of whom are Children Looked After. With a strong therapeutic approach and a nurturing atmosphere, the environment is designed to help every pupil develop emotionally, socially and academically.
As a KS3 SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons that meet the unique needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Use assessment data effectively to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development through therapeutic approaches Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour in line with the school’s policies Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist support teams
You’ll bring enthusiasm, empathy and resilience, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils who require consistent and trauma-informed teaching. Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment and behaviour management in SEN settings QTS/QTLS required Commitment to safeguarding, professional conduct and high standards of teaching We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All posts require an enhanced DBS check.
