We’re looking for a warm, dedicated, and enthusiastic  SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child with ADHD, ASD, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them thrive both academically and personally.

In this role, you won’t just be supporting learning — you’ll be building confidence, encouraging independence, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where a child can truly flourish.

What You’ll Be Doing

Provide tailored 1:1 support to help a student access learning and grow in confidence
Deliver engaging, personalised activities that reflect the student’s interests and abilities
Support emotional regulation and communication, helping the student feel understood and secure
Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage independence and celebrate progress
Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and specialists to implement effective support plans
Track and share progress in line with EHCP targets and personal goals
Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued

About You

Naturally nurturing and calm, with a supportive and empathetic approach
Energetic and positive, bringing enthusiasm into the classroom every day
Adaptable and intuitive, able to respond to changing needs with confidence
A strong communicator, able to build trust with students, staff, and families
Eager to learn, open to training and new strategies
Experience with SEN (ADHD, ASD, behavioural needs) or a genuine passion to support children in this area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
