The Opportunity - SEN Class Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Class Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Ware. This is a highly rewarding role supporting pupils within a structured, nurturing environment, including those with complex needs such as SEMH, PMLD, and SLD.

You'll play a key role in the education and training sector, helping pupils build trust, develop communication and self-regulation skills, and re-engage positively with learning.

As a SEN Class Teacher You'll Be Doing:

* Deliver tailored, nurture-based lessons to small groups.
* Support pupils with SEMH needs alongside PMLD and SLD requirements
* Adapt teaching to meet a range of sensory, physical, and communication needs
* Use alternative communication approaches (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC) where appropriate
* Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Plan personalised learning in line with EHCP outcomes
* Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams
* Create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For

* QTS or QTLS (desirable) or strong SEN/SEMH experience
* Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or complex needs (PMLD, SLD)
* Confidence adapting teaching for diverse learning and communication needs
* A calm, consistent, and resilient approach
* Strong relationship-building skills
* Commitment to inclusive education and ongoing development
* Ability to commute to Ware
