Behaviour Mentor (Secondary SEN/SEMH) Behaviour Mentor - Full Time Location: B61 Pay: £90 - £110 Per day (Based on experience) Contract – Full time opportunity Monday– Friday until end of academic year.
Smile Education is proud to be supporting a specialist SEN secondary provision in Bromsgrove that is seeking a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong behaviour management skills to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them engage positively with education and develop essential life skills.
The Role
• Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support to pupils • Implement behaviour management strategies and intervention plans • Support pupils in regulating emotions and developing coping strategies • Build positive and trusting relationships with students • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams • Monitor and report on behaviour and progress • Promote a safe and structured learning environment • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion always

Requirements
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (minimum 3 months) • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills • Background in education, youth work, care or similar desirable • Calm, resilient and consistent approach • Committed to full time work and reliability • Able to provide 2 references covering the last two years • Hold an enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one through Smile Education
