What the Accounts Senior / Semi Senior job involves Working as part of an experienced accounts team, you will be responsible for preparing accounts and supporting the wider practice with a range of duties, including: Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Producing and reviewing management accounts (where required) Preparing basic corporation tax computations and supporting information (depending on experience) Completing VAT returns and liaising with clients to resolve queries Assisting with bookkeeping and ensuring records are accurate and up to date Communicating with clients via phone/email to gather information and provide updates Supporting and mentoring junior team members (Accounts Senior level) Working to deadlines and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism Skills required Previous experience in an accountancy practice at a Senior or Semi Senior level A solid understanding of preparing accounts for a range of business types Confident using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively during busy periods Other information This is a fulltime position working 37.5 hours per week 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays Car parking is available Discretionary annual bonus Easily accessible on public transport Traditional and well established business where you will feel valued and an integral part of the team This vacancy is being advertised through KD Recruitment Limited who are operating as an Employment Agency.
