Location: Godalming, Surrey Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + benefits About the Opportunity A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Godalming is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Practice Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional practice environment. Working closely with senior members of the team, you will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries, assisting with accounts preparation, tax work, and client advisory services. Key Responsibilities Preparation of year-end accounts for a portfolio of SME clients
Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
Preparation of management accounts where required
Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
Supporting senior accountants and managers with client work
Liaising with clients to request information and respond to queries
Assisting with maintaining accurate financial records and compliance requirements
Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting assignments
About You AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA / ACA (or looking to start)
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
Strong understanding of accounts preparation and basic tax principles
Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
Motivated to continue xehkeey learning and progressing within practice
