About the Opportunity
A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Godalming is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Practice Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional practice environment.
Working closely with senior members of the team, you will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries, assisting with accounts preparation, tax work, and client advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of year-end accounts for a portfolio of SME clients
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Preparation of management accounts where required
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
- Supporting senior accountants and managers with client work
- Liaising with clients to request information and respond to queries
- Assisting with maintaining accurate financial records and compliance requirements
- Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting assignments
About You
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA / ACA (or looking to start)
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Strong understanding of accounts preparation and basic tax principles
- Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Motivated to xbpsjku continue learning and progressing within practice
