The Role
A great fit for someone AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified, with existing experience in practice and the ambition to continue progressing.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing year-end accounts, corporation tax, self assessment and property accounts
Supporting with VAT returns and bookkeeping duties
Managing your own portfolio of clients with accuracy and professionalism
Acting as the main point of contact for client queries
Spotting opportunities to add value beyond compliance
Collaborating with team members and sharing knowledge
Assisting bookkeepers and reviewing work as you progress
Contributing ideas for improvements and best practice
What You'll Bring
AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part qualified (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice
Solid technical grounding in accounts prep, VAT, self assessment and corporation tax
Confidence with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Strong attention to detail, curiosity and a problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication skills with a client-first attitude
Drive to develop, qualify and step into more responsibility over time
What Success Looks Like
Month 1: Settled in, familiar with systems, preparing basic accounts and responding to client queries
Month 3: Confidently managing your own client portfolio with minimal supervision
Months 6 to 12: Supporting junior team members, reviewing work, and demonstrating clear progression toward senior responsibilities
