We're supporting a secondary school in Brentford who are looking for an SEMH Support Assistant to join them as soon as possible. The school has a friendly, supportive inclusion team and is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students and help them stay engaged in lessons.
What the role involves
Supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs
Working 1:1 or with small groups (Interventions)
Helping with emotional regulation and behaviour routines
Working closely with the SEN and pastoral teams
Keeping students focused and encouraging positive choices
Who we're looking for
Someone who is:
Patient, calm and confident around young people
Able to manage behaviour in a positive, consistent way
Experienced with SEMH, PRUs, or challenging behaviour (school or youth work background also welcome)
Reliable and ready to start quickly
