About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Bournemouth, working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in supporting students who require additional help to thrive both academically and emotionally. You'll play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and skills for life.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored classroom and 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH needs

Support students in managing their emotions, behaviour, and engagement with learning

Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans (ILPs)

Encourage positive relationships and help students build their social skills

Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, inclusive activities

Contribute to the wellbeing and safeguarding of all pupils

About You:

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs is desirable

Calm, empathetic, and patient approach

Able to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff

Good communication and teamwork skills

A genuine commitment to helping young people overcome challenges

Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or equivalent) are beneficial but not essential
