SEMH Teaching Assistant - Clapham

Daily Rate: £95-£110Start Date: ASAPContract: Full-time, long-termDBS: Enhanced Child & Adult DBS essential

Are you an experienced and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? A fantastic specialist school in Clapham is seeking a dedicated TA to join their team immediately.

This school supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a nurturing environment where every student can thrive. They are looking for someone calm, resilient and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to make a difference.

Role Responsibilities

• Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
• Delivering tailored interventions and 1:1 support
• Assisting the teacher with planning, behaviour strategies and progress tracking
• Building positive, trusting relationships with students
• Helping to create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in an SEMH school or provision is highly desirable
• Strong behaviour management skills and a supportive approach
• Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and solution-focused
• A team player who works well with teachers, therapists, and other staff
• Must hold a valid Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
