SEMH Teaching Assistants

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants for a Good Ofsted rated Special School located in New Milton, Hampshire.

Dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for students aged 11-16 with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and Complex Emotional Needs. The school employs specialist education approaches, therapeutic support, and tailored environments to help students prepare for the challenges of adult life in a positive and empowering manner.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to our students, creating a nurturing and supportive environment where they can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement specialized educational programs tailored to the needs of students with SEMH and Complex Emotional Needs. Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students, helping them to manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build positive relationships. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic success. Engage students in therapeutic interventions and activities designed to enhance their social and emotional skills.
