About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Teacher to join our specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Tonbridge. This is a full-time position working with students who require additional support to engage with education due to social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and differentiated maths lessons, helping students to build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEMH learners Adapt teaching strategies to support students with complex social, emotional, and behavioural challenges Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and targeted support Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and external professionals Contribute to behaviour support strategies and individual education plans (IEPs) Promote positive relationships and emotional wellbeing among students
