SEMH Learning Support Assistant needed for an Alternative Provision
Do you have a background in SEMH, SEBD or ASD? Have you had experience with challenging behaviour? Do you have Team Teach or MAPA training? Have you covered lesson? Experience tutoring or teaching small groups?
This specialist school based in West Drayton is looking for a special needs SEMH Learning Support Assistant with experience of working with challenging children and young people.
This is a specialist SEMH School that caters for young people who have been excluded or at risk of being excluded from a mainstream school.
The successful behaviour mentor will have the opportunity to work in this outstanding school with an international reputation in special education expertise, curriculum and resources.
Behaviour mentors must have experience working with mental health problems and complex behaviours.
This school believes that all young people should be provided with appropriate education in a safe, stable, containing learning environment.
As a behaviour mentor, you will be working with a secondary aged pupils who have SEMD, SEBD troubled behaviour. Some students are academic and they range from KS1-KS5.
You are given opportunities to succeed through the use of highly personalised individual education plans to help support their students.
