Self Employed Van Driver

Modern Edge Recruitment are actively looking for Self Employed Van Drivers in the CB8 Area of Newmarket.
Pay Rate - £130 per day
Work Monday to Saturday
Need to be currently set up as a sole trader
Basic DBS Check is required (advantages if you already have one in date)
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a van for the purpose of delivering pharmaceutical goods to designated locations.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policy.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
* Report any mechanical issues or concerns with the vehicle promptly.
* Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
* A valid driving license is required, with no more than 6 points.
* Happy to load and unload vehicle daily.
* Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and clients.
