Purpose & Scope of the Role As a Security Consultant, you will lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary security projects, shaping strategic outcomes for a diverse client base. You will oversee resource planning, support operational delivery across the security workstream, and act as a senior escalation point for both clients and internal teams. The role combines technical leadership, team development, and client engagement, ensuring high‑quality, compliant, and innovative security solutions aligned with industry standards and project requirements. Core Capabilities
Leadership & Team Development: Line manage and mentor consultants, supporting professional growth and providing technical oversight and ensuring quality across deliverables. Project & Programme Delivery: Lead complex, multi-disciplinary security projects and manage resource forecasting, prioritisation, and delivery timelines. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a senior escalation point for clients and develop strong relationships, contributing to business growth. Security Risk & Technical Expertise: Deliver risk assessments aligned to ISO 31000, produce technical reports, specifications and security strategies, and apply knowledge of physical, electronic and operational security. Operational & Industry Awareness: Coordinate with national technical authorities and maintain awareness of evolving threats, standards and innovations.
Working Arrangement This role offers a hybrid working model, with up to three days per week in the office or on client sites. You will collaborate with teams across the UK, with occasional travel required. Flexible working arrangements are supported to promote work‑life balance. Qualifications
Degree‑qualified in security or a related discipline, with chartered status (or working towards). Proven experience in security risk management within the built environment and delivering projects in a multi‑disciplinary consultancy. Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., Secured by Design, RIBA stages) and excellent communication skills. Eligible for BPSS, SC and DV clearance, and a sole UK national.
