Section Engineer – MEP

We are looking to appoint an experienced Section Engineer with a strong civil engineering background and proven experience working alongside mechanical and electrical (M&E/MEP) disciplines on major infrastructure projects at Heathrow Airport.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of defined sections of work on complex, high-profile aviation schemes within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Taking engineering responsibility for allocated sections of civil works

Managing and coordinating site engineers and subcontractors within your section

Ensuring effective interface with mechanical and electrical teams

Overseeing setting out, quality assurance, and technical compliance

Managing short-term planning, method statements, and risk assessments

Supporting the delivery of works in line with programme, safety, and quality standards

Requirements

Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Demonstrable experience in a Section Engineer role on major infrastructure projects

Strong understanding of civil works with M&E/MEP interfaces

Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple disciplines
