Secondary Tutor - Hillingdon (1:1 Tuition) Quantum Scholars are currently seeking experienced tutors and qualified teachers to deliver 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across Hillingdon. As an established provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, Quantum Scholars supports pupils who are currently out of mainstream education. Many of the young people we work with have additional needs such as SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs, and require personalised support to help them re-engage with learning. This is a highly rewarding role where you will work closely with individual secondary-aged pupils, delivering tailored tuition that helps rebuild their confidence, develop key academic skills, and support their journey back into education. Sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or within a suitable community setting. Tutors are responsible for planning and preparing lessons and resources that meet each pupil's individual learning needs. Role details Deliver 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged pupils outside of mainstream education Flexible, part-time hours that can fit around your schedule Sessions usually take place during school hours Opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting pupils who require additional support Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred Strong experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD or behavioural needs Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships A calm, patient and resilient approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Ability to travel to Hillingdon for in-person tutoring sessions Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, and applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered.
