Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

Location: Wellingborough

Start Date: September 2026 (Earlier start available)

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per day (Experience dependent)

Reed Education are working with a reputable secondary school in Wellingborough who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join them on a permanent basis. The school can offer an earlier start for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Work closely with class teachers to deliver inclusive, engaging lessons
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support
• Assist with classroom management and daily routines
• Contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements

Experience is essential for this role. The school are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience supporting secondary-aged pupils in a school setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, professional and proactive approach
• Qualifications in education or childcare are preferred, but not essential xbpsjku
