This SEN Teaching Assistant role in Lambeth would suit experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, or graduates with relevant SEN experience looking to further their career in education. Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant: Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities. Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement. Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development. Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) or a degree. Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting. Demonstrate strong understanding of SEN support strategies and inclusive practice. Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement. Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff and families.
