What You'll Be Doing
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing tailored 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social/emotional needs.
Assisting students with their Personal Care plans where required, ensuring dignity, comfort, and safety at all times.
Supporting pupils' personal, emotional, and social development, helping them build resilience and independence.
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver high‑quality support.
Creating a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children/young people with additional needs.
Understand the principles of the SEN Code of Practice and be confident adapting support to individual needs.
Be compassionate, patient, and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Be willing to support pupils with personal care when required.
Bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
