Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Greenwich)

Location: Greenwich, LondonContract: Temporary, Day-to-Day SupplyPay: £100–£140 per day (dependent on experience)Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are looking for confident, reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to provide daily and short-term cover across a busy and supportive secondary school in Greenwich. This is a flexible role ideal for candidates who enjoy variety and want experience working with young people without the long-term commitment of a permanent post.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work, supervising classes in the absence of the teacher, and ensuring students stay on task throughout the lesson.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absence and ensure students follow the set work.
• Maintain a calm, positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support different departments as needed throughout the day.
• Provide feedback to the teacher or department staff as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with young people (school, tutoring, mentoring, or similar).
• Is confident, adaptable and able to think on their feet.
• Can manage behaviour calmly and fairly.
• Has strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Is available at short notice and able to commit to day-to-day work.

A degree is desirable but not essential.
