Job Description

Scientist – Molecular Diagnostics\n\nLocation – Oxfordshire\n\nOur client is a leading provider of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experience NGS scientist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their NGS platforms.\n\nThe role:\n\nThe successful applicant will be responsible for:\n\n * Work on product development projects supporting with the improvement of new diagnostic products to support customer needs.\n\n * Offer a solution-lead approach to overcoming technical challenges.\n\n * Defining and undertaking experiments to support product development.\n\n * Interpretation and analysis of results.\n\n * Ensuring compliance and quality standards are maintained.\n\nSuitable applicants:\n\n * Industry experience in commercial product development with IVD molecular biology products\n\n * Proven experience conducting commercial R&D projects, out-lining project scope and deliverables\n\n * Educated to PhD or MSc in Genomics/Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience)\n\n * Experience working to ISO13485 and ISO 9001\n\n * Prior experience with NGS workflows and different sequencing technology\n\nSuitable candidates can expect a permanent position with a competitive salary commensurate to experience (plus benefits)
