Job Description
Project Manager\n\nLocation – Cambridge\n\nSector – Biotechnology\n\nSalary – £45-55K (depending on interview performance & experience)\n\nFull time, permanent role\n\nHybrid – 1-2 days a week onsite\n\nWe are currently offering the opportunity for an experienced scientific Project Manager to join an innovative biotechnology company based in Cambridge. Our client is seeking a new hard-working individual to contribute to the development of novel RNA-based therapeutics.\n\nThis is the perfect opportunity for an individual with several years’ experience in a Project Management position within the biotech or drug discovery sectors looking for a permanent and full-time role to advance their career.\n\nApplicants must be eligible to work in the UK.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Project Manager within the projects team, you will be responsible for:\n\n * Leading the planning and delivery of client-focused technical projects, as well as some in-house R&D projects.\n\n * Design and manage the full lifecycle of project management including proposal writing, project planning, timeline management, budget management, internal/external stakeholder communication, project completion, resource management etc.\n\n * Occasional supporting of projects relating to process and product development, product scale up and regulatory submissions.\n\n * Writing commercial proposals alongside the technical and sales teams.\n\n * Communicating project timelines and updates with clients.\n\n * Liaising with a wide variety of teams (sales, finance, R&D, process development, legal, senior management) including presenting project updates to senior management.\n\n * Spotting and implementing improvements for project and departmental efficiency.\n\nCurrent / Recent Experience Required:\n\n * BSc or MSc in a biological or life science discipline. (essential, equivalent experience welcome)\n\n * At least 3 years of project management experience within a biotechnology, biological, or drug discovery setting with a strong preference for technical projects.
(essential)\n\n * PMP, PRINCE2 or other project management certifications would be a bonus. (desired)\n\n * Strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects of varying complexity. (essential)\n\n * Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders of varying seniority (both internal and external).
(essential).\n\n * Proven ability to prioritise whilst being detail oriented when working on various projects simultaneously.
