About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic team at a thriving secondary school in Stafford. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to teach Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, igniting their curiosity and helping them develop a strong understanding of the scientific world.

As a Science Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that inspire students to explore the wonders of science. Your role will involve preparing students for GCSE exams, fostering a love for science, and providing constructive feedback to support their academic development. You will also be responsible for marking students' work, tracking their progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students in KS3 and KS4 across all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)

Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school policies

Assess students' progress regularly through marking, feedback, and formal assessments

Support students in preparing for their GCSE exams and help them achieve their full potential

Foster a passion for science and encourage students to think critically and creatively

Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and productive learning environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop schemes of work and teaching resources

Participate in staff meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities as required

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or combined sciences) and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)

Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 is preferred, but not essential

Passionate about science education and able to inspire students to engage with the subject

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners

Committed to ongoing professional development and working collaboratively within a team

Strong organisational skills to manage planning, marking, and assessment
