Justteachers are working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Rossendale who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team. The role is to start as soon as possible and may become permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Science specialist who is dedicated to delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll play a key role in helping students develop strong scientific understanding, curiosity, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons that cater to a range of abilities.

* Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.

* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and a love of learning.

* Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and collaborative teaching approaches.

* Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policies.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

* Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

* Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.

* A proactive, engaging, and supportive approach to teaching and learning.
