You will contribute to whole-school teaching and learning strategy, support departmental enrichment including STEM programmes, science olympiad preparation, and university outreach and play a key role in embedding a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.What the School is Looking ForThis permanent Science Lead Practitioner position is best suited to candidates who:Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Possess a strong academic background a 2:1 degree or above in a Science discipline from a reputable university, ideally Russell GroupCan demonstrate a substantial and successful track record of classroom teaching within a UK secondary school, with clear evidence of excellent pupil outcomesHave experience of, or a clear aptitude for, coaching, mentoring, or leading on teaching and learning at departmental or whole-school levelShow a deep understanding of curriculum design, assessment strategy, and evidence-based pedagogyAre confident operating within and contributing to whole-school improvement prioritiesAre legally entitled to work in the UK the school is unable to provide visa sponsorshipThis is a senior classroom-facing role; candidates without a proven record of outstanding UK secondary Science teaching will not be considered.Salary & ContractOuter London MPS: £37,870£50,474 | UPS up to £56,154.
