School Office Manager

New Yesterday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Office Manager to join a brand-new team in June 2026, playing a key role in the launch of a new specialist school, based in SW London. This is a full-time, year-round position (not term-time only), offering the chance to be involved from the very beginning of a meaningful and impactful educational setting.
The school will support children aged 7–16 with Autism and associated conditions, particularly those who have struggled to access mainstream or specialist education. With an integrated therapeutic approach, the school aims to provide tailored support to help every pupil achieve the best possible outcomes.
As the School Office Manager will be at the heart of a busy and dynamic school environment, acting as a central hub supporting staff, pupils, parents/carers, and external partners. From initial school set-up through to day-to-day operations, the role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all administrative functions.
Key responsibilities will include supporting school operations across HR, payroll, pupil administration, marketing and referrals, safeguarding, and systems management. The successful candidate will be a highly organised and experienced administrator, confident in managing multiple systems and processes while maintaining a professional and welcoming office environment.
With a strong focus on putting pupils first, the School Office Manager will contribute to creating a supportive school experience where children can thrive and develop essential life skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders are essential, alongside a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Previous experience in HR and payroll administration is desirable, as is a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting children with special educational needs.
