The Role
At Branwood Preparatory School we believe healthy food is important in the development of young minds and we are passionate about serving delicious nutritious meals on a daily basis.
We are looking to appoint an individual who is passionate about food preparation and responsible for the delivery of a high quality, homemade standard of service to our children, staff, Trustees and Governors.
The individual will need to be able to lead and work well with an established team and be responsible for the planning of menus in line with budget considerations. They will be compliant with all Health & Safety guidelines, legislation and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
To be responsible for the organisation of the kitchen and dining area.
To order all food and necessary equipment within budget and with consideration to legislation and requirements related to school meals.
To plan menus, ensuring that all children have access to healthy, balanced homemade meals.
To develop a good knowledge of all pupils especially those with allergies, dietary requirements, religious requirements etc.
To supervise and serve food to children and staff.
To be responsible for the preparation of refreshments for school events such as Carol Service, Speech Night, Shows, Christmas and Summer Fairs etc.
To ensure that the kitchen area is kept clean and to a high standard.
