* Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Full-time)
* Pay: £14.24 - £18.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Premier Education are recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to work in a busy secondary school. This is a full-time, temporary position starting as soon as possible and continuing until July 2026, covering staff sickness.

This is a varied and hands-on role, combining day-to-day site responsibilities with general maintenance duties. You will play a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, clean and well-maintained for students, staff and visitors.

The role:

You will work closely with the Site Manager, Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff to support the smooth running of the school premises. Daily duties will include:

* Opening and closing the school site (setting up and setting down)
* Carrying out regular litter picks across the school grounds
* Emptying bins and ensuring waste is managed appropriately
* Undertaking basic maintenance and repairs around the site
* Responding to ad hoc maintenance requests
* Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times
* Supporting with general site duties as required

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience working as a school caretaker (essential)
* Good practical skills with the ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance
* Strong understanding of health and safety on a school site
* The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Good communication skills
* A proactive and reliable approach to work
