We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking School Caretaker to join our friendly and dedicated team at a thriving secondary school in Newham.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the school premises
• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks
• Ensuring the security of the buildings and grounds
• Monitoring health and safety compliance across the site
• Assisting with setting up rooms and equipment for events and exams
• Liaising with contractors and reporting any major repair needs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous caretaking, site management, or maintenance experience (school experience desirable)
• Possess good practical DIY skills
• Have a strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Be organised, dependable, and able to work independently
• Have good communication skills and a flexible approach to work xbpsjku
