About the Role: As a Caretaker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring it is safe, secure, and well-maintained for students and staff. No formal qualifications or direct experience are essential—however, being “handy” and confident with basic repairs is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs (basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.) Opening and closing the school site, managing keys and alarm systems Monitoring site safety, including fire safety and hazard prevention Coordinating with contractors for larger repairs when required Managing cleaning schedules, deliveries, and general site upkeep Responding to maintenance issues quickly and effectively What We’re Looking For:

Practical skills and a “hands-on” approach (DIY, home improvement, or similar experience) Strong problem-solving ability and initiative Reliability and trustworthiness, especially with site security responsibilities Good understanding of health & safety and risk awareness Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload ...
