Location: Onsite - Portsmouth (5 days a week) Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 months rolling contract Overview: We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team onsite in Stevenage. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong on-premises networking expertise and hands-on experience with enterprise-grade hardware and security platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and support on-premises network infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across switching, routing, and Firewall layers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain network performance and security. Provide documentation and support for ongoing network changes and upgrades. Required Skills & Experience: Proven track record as a Network Engineer in complex environments. Strong knowledge of on-prem networking , including: Layer 2/3 switching and routing VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF Network segmentation and high availability design Hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment (CCNP level or equivalent knowledge preferred).
