Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Afternoon Shifts) – Counterbalance & Saw Experience
Hours: Afternoon shift — either 12:00–22:00 (Mon–Thurs) or 14:00–22:00 (Mon–Fri)

About the Role

Our client, a specialist supplier of precision-machined and fabricated components, is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team. This is a hands-on role supporting the movement, storage, preparation, and dispatch of a range of products. Candidates must be confident operating a counterbalance forklift, with saw-cutting experience considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and store goods

*

Carry out saw-cutting tasks when required, accurately cutting components to size

*

Receive, inspect, and store incoming deliveries

*

Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch

*

Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse environment

*

Support stock control processes, including record keeping and regular inventory checks

*

Provide light support to production areas where required (e.g., packaging, assembly preparation)

Person Specification / Requirements

*

Valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence — essential

*

Previous warehouse experience, ideally including forklift operation and handling longer or heavier materials

*

Experience in saw cutting (metal, timber, or similar) — desirable but not essential

*

Strong attention to detail and commitment to following Health & Safety procedures

*

Able to work independently as well as part of a small, supportive team

*

Reliable, punctual, and flexible with shift requirements
