Sampling Technician

As a Sampling Technician you will be required to arrange the collection and testing of products including cooking products and organising taste panels. You will also be required to maintain records including the verification and issue factory temperature probes. Additionally you will be responsible for the day to day operation and cleaning of the test kitchen. Any issues or concerns with quality must be highlighted to your manager, a Food safety & Quality Manager or Senior Food safety & Quality Manager. Effective liaison, team working and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is fundamental. The job is performed mainly in factory controlled area and involves extensive periods standing. Shift : Monday to Friday 08.00-16.00 Responsibilities/duties: To carryout tasks as trained. To advise managers when not trained for tasks you are being asked to carry out. Not to undertake any tasks where training has not taken place. To work in a manner that promotes the health and safety of oneself and others. To report any health and safety issues to your immediate manager. To report any accidents or near missus to the first aider in the area. To set a good example of behaviour.
