Were recruiting for a full-time Sales Team Leader to join a growing organisation based in Shrewsbury. This is a newly created role in the organisation to oversee a small team of 2, but this could grow in line with the business goals.
One thing that makes this role attractive for most sales professionals is that this will be working with 99% warm clients who have enquired about the products / services, and the aim of this role is to maximise the conversions of those enquiries into sales. With around 70% of your time being part of the team and dealing with enquiries yourself, 30% of your time will be overseeing your team, reviewing best practice and supporting/coaching the team to help evolve how they handle these enquiries and any follow-up activity to be as effective as possible.

Key Responsibilities
Sales (70%)
Handle a steady flow of warm enquiries, guiding customers through the process with professionalism and clarity.
Conduct detailed conversations to understand customer needs and explain how our services meet them.
Discuss pricing transparently and lead conversations towards commitment, while managing follow-ups where required.
Organise your diary effectively to ensure callbacks and follow-up communications are completed as promised.
Manage the conversion process, including taking payments and booking appointments or coordinating with the scheduling team.
Team Leadership (30%)
Oversee and support a team of two sales executives, with scope to grow as the business expands.
Review and refine sales scripts, call structures, and follow-up processes to maximise conversions.
Monitor and listen to team calls, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
Conduct regular one-to-one reviews to keep the team motivated, engaged, and aligned with business goals.
Analyse sales data to identify trends and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new team members as the department grows.
Key Requirements
Proven background in sales, with a track record of converting warm leads into committed customers.
Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles, ideally within a sales environment.
Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
Organised and proactive, able to manage your own diary while supporting the teams workflow.
Commercially aware, with the ability to analyse data and adapt strategies to drive performance.
Confident in discussing pricing and handling customer objections in a professional manner.
