I am currently representing Brent Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager (Communications, Insight & Innovation) this role will be: HA9 0FJ Hybrid

The right candidate will:

We’re looking for a proven commercial operator with a clear track record of hitting, or ideally exceeding, income targets through sales, business development and account management –

The right person will be comfortable running a busy bookable venue, delivering sales campaigns that convert, and working credibly with senior partners, advertisers and sponsors.

* Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that achieve the commercial income target as set annually for the Conference & Events service, adapting to evolving needs and opportunities.

* Oversee the development and execution of operational plans to ensure service delivery is effective, efficient and meets high standards; lead the integration of best practice and innovative solutions to enhance operational performance.

* Lead and mentor staff to create a high-performance culture, including training and professional development to sustain capability and morale.

* Engage with stakeholders to support the effective delivery of high-profile statutory public meetings (e.g. Full Council, Cabinet, committee meetings and the council AGM).

* Maximise team efficiency and resilience by ensuring a multi-skilled workforce is trained and able to cover across roles; maintain a robust framework for ongoing training and development.

* Manage the Sales & Marketing team budget, including monthly monitoring and producing quarterly summary reports against business plan projections, programme of activities and actions to achieve income targets.

We require the following:

* Strong people and budget management are essential but we can teach the system we use (which is Priava).

* Film Office/location income experience is also a plus.

* Educated to degree level in sales, customer services/business or marketing, or able to demonstrate proven practical experience in a similar role.
