About the Role


A well‑established manufacturer in the specialist equipment sector is seeking an ambitious and driven Sales Consultant to expand its presence across the Central–Southern UK region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to join a business known for delivering high‑quality engineered solutions to a diverse client base.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing long‑standing customer relationships, and promoting a respected product range within a growing market. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, strong communication skills, and regular travel throughout the region.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct market research to identify new clients and business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads through networking, proactive outreach, and attendance at industry events.
  • Present and promote a portfolio of specialist equipment to a wide range of customers.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales in line with targets.
  • Deliver excellent post‑sale support to encourage repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and technical teams to maintain up‑to‑date product and industry knowledge.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activity, customer engagement, and pipeline status within the CRM system.
  • Participate in training and professional development initiatives to strengthen sales capability and sector expertise.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within the construction equipment, machinery, or related technical sectors.
  • Understanding of vehicle‑mounted or hydraulic equipment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and confident working independently.
  • Comfortable travelling extensively within the region.
  • Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
