About the Role We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in the UK. This role will focus on managing and developing accounts within your territory, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to overall sales growth. You will combine account management skills with a hunter mentality to win new business while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities Achieve sales targets for the territory.
Generate leads and develop long-term client relationships.
Advise customers on product fit and value using consultative sales techniques.
Negotiate tenders, contracts, and commercial terms.
Provide pre-sales application support, quotations, and post-sales support including training.
Represent the company at presentations, roadshows, and exhibitions.
Maintain accurate CRM data and provide weekly reporting and forecasting.
Provide market intelligence, including competitor trends and customer feedback.
Collaborate with product management to support strategic initiatives and product development.
Requirements Degree or equivalent qualification in a science or engineering-related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales engineer role.
Strong technical understanding, preferably in materials testing, quality control, or related industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, plastics, packaging, or automotive.
Experience with equipment application software and integration is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and demonstrate initiative.
Willingness to travel domestically, including overnight stays (approx. xehkeey 50% travel).
