An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Event Director to lead a well-established, market-leading events portfolio. This flagship series runs multiple times annually across major UK venues, attracting significant visitor numbers and a large base of exhibitors. This role is ideal for a commercially driven and strategically minded leader who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality live experiences. The Opportunity You will take full ownership of a leading live events brand, overseeing its continued growth, innovation, and successful delivery. Working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and operations teams, you will define and execute the strategic vision, ensuring strong financial performance and exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities
Own the overall performance and day-to-day management of the event portfolio, including full P&L responsibility. Develop and deliver a clear value proposition and annual business plan, informed by market research and customer insight. Lead budgeting processes and shape a long-term growth strategy, including a rolling three-year plan. Enhance exhibitor, sponsor, and attendee experiences through continuous innovation and data-led decision-making. Oversee end-to-end event delivery, ensuring alignment across all internal teams and stakeholders. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform product development and strategic direction. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and high-value clients. Deliver accurate financial forecasting and manage performance against key targets. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of growth and succession planning.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within exhibitions or large-scale conferences. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth and managing P&L. Inspiring leadership style with the ability to develop and motivate cross-functional teams. Deep understanding of live events and customer-centric product development. Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data and insights into strategic actions. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Naturally curious, adaptable, and driven by continuous improvement. Strong communication skills, with the ability to represent the brand externally.
