Overview
An established British design-led interiors brand is seeking a commercially driven Sales Director to lead the next phase of its growth.
The company produces high-quality textiles and wallcoverings, sold through a global network of independent sales representatives, distributors, and showrooms. Backed by recent private equity investment, the business is entering an exciting new phase of expansion, with a strong focus on both regional and international growth.
This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape and scale the global sales function, strengthen key market performance - particularly in the United States - and build momentum across an established but evolving sales network.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Performance
Develop and implement a clear sales strategy to drive revenue growth across existing and new markets
Research market trends and conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities
Set sales targets and performance measures across all territories
Prepare and oversee operational and financial sales reporting
Sales Network Leadership
Lead and support a network of independent sales representatives and international distributors
Build strong relationships with agents and partners across key markets (London)
Monitor territory performance and ensure partners are effectively supported
Oversee the development and performance of the wider sales network
International Growth (US Focus)
Work closely with the company’s lead partner in the United States to strengthen distribution and sales performance
Identify and execute opportunities to expand brand presence in key international markets
Showroom & Trade Relationships
Support the performance of the London showroom as a key sales environment
Build and maintain relationships with interior designers, retailers, and trade clients
Represent the brand at industry events and trade shows
Collaboration & Commercial Alignment
Work closely with marketing to align sales activity with campaigns and product launches
Drive cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives to maximise exposure and revenue
Collaborate with production, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery
Gather market feedback to inform brand and product strategy
Experience & Background
5–10+ years’ experience in a sales leadership or senior sales role within interiors, textiles, furnishings, or a related design‑led sector
Experience working with independent sales agents or distributors
Strong understanding of the interiors trade and specification market
Commercially aware with experience contributing to sales strategy and growth
Exposure to international markets (US experience beneficial but not essential)
