Purpose:
The primary purpose of the role is to generate qualified sales opportunities for the senior sales team by engaging inbound leads and proactively identifying new prospects. Through outbound calling (warm+), research and consistent follow-up, the SDR will book high-quality demonstrations of our services. The role includes full training in our sales methodology, tools and processes, with clear performance metrics and progression opportunities. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the SDR will be responsible for meeting call and demo KPIs, maintaining accurate records and providing regular performance reports.
Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to inbound leads to qualify interest and book product or service demonstrations.
- Proactively research and identify new prospective clients aligned with our target market.
- Conduct outbound prospecting activity (calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach) to generate new business opportunities.
- Qualify prospects against agreed criteria to ensure strong fit and high-quality demo bookings.
- Schedule demonstrations for senior sales colleagues and ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
- Track and report on daily, weekly and monthly activity metrics, including calls made, conversations held and demos booked.
- Meet or exceed agreed KPIs for activity levels and demo generation.
- Collaborate with the wider sales and marketing teams to optimise lead conversion.
- Continuously develop product knowledge and sales skills through training and feedback.
