Sales Account Manager

We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join a leading national distributor based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market-leading organisation that offers stability, strong support, and clear opportunities for career development.

Salary: Up to £27,000 + Bonus

Location: Tamworth

Main Duties

  • Achieve sales targets by value, volume, and gross margin for designated accounts/areas
  • Develop and monitor new customer accounts
  • Respond effectively to targets set and agreed with the Sales Office Manager
  • Maintain a high standard of day-to-day communication with customers via telephone, email, and other channels
  • Monitor all aspects of the sales order process, ensuring procedures are followed correctly
  • Prepare and issue quotations in line with company pricing policies, using cut-to-size optimisation software and CRM systems
  • Produce monthly sales reports for the Sales Office Manager
  • Assist with stock purchasing to meet agreed stock turn targets
  • Work closely with the Warehouse & Distribution Manager to ensure service levels meet customer demand while minimising costs
  • Attend Sales Office and Branch meetings as required
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by the Sales or Branch Manager
  • Observe all Health & Safety requirements within the sales and warehouse environment

About You

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and IT skills, be numerate, and present themselves in a smart and professional manner. We are looking for someone with energy, motivation, and enthusiasm, who is a team player with a flexible approach and the ability to prioritise effectively.

Experience working in a sales environment is preferred, but candidates from other backgrounds with the right attitude and transferable skills will also be considered.
