This role involves various tasks related to the installation, repair and maintenance of roofing systems.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nTechnical Duties:\nThe primary responsibilities are detailed below, however KSD Support Services Ltd may require additional responsibilities to be absorbed within reason from time to time to meet business demands.\n * Carry out roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance to required specifications and industry standards.\n * Mentor and provide guidance and hands-on support to the labourer during all roofing activities.\n * Inspecting and identifying failures to roofs caused by water ingress.\n * Resolving minor repair items such as gutter repairs, patch repairs, tile replacements.\n * Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, addressing defects or issues promptly.\n * Work collaboratively with supervisors, other trades, and site management to ensure smooth project delivery.\n * Complete all required paperwork, permits, and daily work records, ensuring accurate documentation of all work undertaken, including detailed worksheets outlining tasks performed and materials used after each job.\n * Provide updates to Roofing Manager/Project Managers regarding progress, issues, or delays.\n * Always maintain safe working practices, including correct use of PPE and fall protection.\n * Work collaboratively with other trades and site management to ensure smooth project delivery.\nPERSON SPECIFICATION\nEssential Requirements:\n * Previous experience working with Trocal (Sika)\n * Full Clean UK Driving Licence\n * Ability to read and interpret roofing drawings and specifications\n * Ability to lead and instruct a labourer effectively\n * Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude\n * Solid understanding on the safe use of power and hand tools\n * Ability to work from heights and use access equipment safely\n * Reliable, organised, and able to manage workloads efficiently\n * Great attention to detail.\n * Good communication and problem-solving skills.\n * Confident using handheld IT Equipment - Basic understanding of Excel, Outlook and word\n * Valid CSCS card or equivalent\nDesirable Requirements:\n * Full industry recognised roofing qualification obtained to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent is desirable.\n * First Aid certificate\n * Asbestos Awareness certificate\n * Working at Height Certificate\n * SMSTS or SSSTS certificate\n * IPAF - Mobile Vertical (3a), Mobile Boom (3b), Static Boom (1b)\n * PASMA - Mobile Access Tower for Users\n * UKPIA / SPA Petrol Retail Contractors Safety Passport.\nTERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT\nWorking Hours:\n45 hours per week, you must be flexible with working days/hours, working away, early starts, late finishes and some weekend work.\nRemuneration & Benefits:\nSalary & Allowances:\nUp to £16.50 per hour PAYE or £18.00 CIS\nRegular overtime opportunities available.\nCompany Benefits:\nFully equipped company van for business use\nFuel card provided\nTrade cards\nCompany mobile phone\nFull uniform and PPE kit supplied\nComprehensive training and professional development programmes\nSupport for further qualifications and professional certifications\nClear career progression opportunities\nKSD Support Services Ltd is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
