We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a roofing estimator with extensive flat roofing experience, based in the midlands

Role Description

The Roofing Estimator will be responsible for analysing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the management team in delivering quality roofing solutions. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project plans, conducting site surveys, sourcing materials, preparing competitive bids, and maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Leyland.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in cost estimation, budget preparation, and contract negotiation for roofing and cladding projects.
• Particular experience in flat roofing projects
• Proficient in reading and analysing technical drawings and architectural plans.
• Experience in working with suppliers and sourcing cost-effective materials without compromising quality.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
• Attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
• Proficiency in computer software for estimating and project management; experience in Excel or specific estimating tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and building codes related to roofing and cladding.
• A degree or relevant experience in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the roofing or building industry is beneficial.
